Overview

The Department of Medical Oncology was established in 2018 and since then it has developed into a modern and full-fledged Medical Oncology department offering a range of specialised treatments – the first of its kind in Jharkhand. The department provides Systemic Therapy services for patients of all types of solid cancers (e.g. Breast cancer, Lung cancer, Colon cancer) and haematological malignancies (e.g. acute and chronic leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma etc.)

The Medical Oncology department has a strong team of consultants supported by medical officers and specially trained oncology nurses. The team has years of expertise and experience in providing all types of modern ‘Systemic Therapy’ regimens (e.g. chemotherapy, targeted therapy, Immunotherapy) in patients with cancer, to achieve the best survival results with the least possible side effects.

The Medical Oncology department offers Outpatient services, Daycare chemotherapy and In-patient chemotherapy services. There is a dedicated ‘Neutropenia ward’ for patients of Acute Leukemia and Neutropenia sepsis.
